M.A.C Lip Pencil "Soar": I've never been the biggest user of lip pencils but when I saw this one at the counter, I thought it would go really well with the majority of my lipsticks and decided to pick it up. It's the perfect mauvy-nude that goes with everything, just adding a little more plumpness to your lips.
M.A.C Lipstick "Twig": I've been eyeing this satin finish lipstick for a while now and finally decided to put it in my basket. It's perfect for everyday and believe it or not, but some of my lipsticks have been running out and it was the perfect time to justify a new one ;)
Lancome Lipgloss in "403": This is a really pretty sheer, baby pink lipgloss that screams summer. You can definitely layer it to create a barbie pink look but I like wearing this when I'm not doing anything outrageous with my makeup and just want a nice shine.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation "Ecru": I've been looking for a new foundation that gives medium to full coverage without being super heavy on my skin. I've finally found it in this product. I've only been using it for about a week, but I've really enjoyed it so far. The coverage is good because you can layer it nicely but I don't feel it on my skin throughout the day, especially at work, under harsh store lighting.
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer: This is a repurchase that I got on a whim but I'm so happy I did. I've been using the L'oreal primer and while I like it, I have yet to find anything that works as well as this Hourglass one.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer "Custard": Again, this is another repurchase and after not using it for quite some time, I thought I would pick up a new one. It's even more perfect then I remember and it works wonders for my dark circles and blemishes.

M.A.C Studio Fix (NC25) & Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation: I've been mixing these for a few weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. On there own, both shades work really well on me. However, I feel like the Healthy Mix makes my Studio Fix a bit creamier, which allows it to be smoother and not as heavy on my skin.
M.A.C Mineralize Concealer: This is one shade lighter then what I need and I'll apply it under my eye area, to brighten it up. As you can see from the bottle, I've really enjoyed using it and it does a good good.
M.A.C Studio Fix Concealer: I've talked about this one before and how much I enjoy using it. I needed to apply it to a few areas where I had a few blemishes. It does the job well, but as I've said it is a heavier concealer so (happily) I don't find myself needing it as much as I use to.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: Just like the concealer, I've mentioned this one several times before. I really enjoy using this. I have several powders at home that I enjoy using, but I always seem to come back to this one. Today, I used this to set my under eye area and my T-zone, which is where I get the oiliest.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick "Bronze": I used this as my bronzer today. I didn't really contour much today, so I applied this under  my check bones and at my temples. I've been using this for a few summers now and I think it still works really well in the fall if you apply it with a light hand, that way the shimmer isn't too strong. I didn't want to have too much shimmer in my bronzer, because it was going to go in with a highlight afterwards.
Estée Lauder Blush "Rebel Rose": I've taken this beauty out again (as you saw in my last beauty post) and I'm so happy about it. I lightly applied this on the apples of my cheeks, just enough to inject a bit of colour back into my face.
BeccaXJaclyn Hill Shimmer Highlight "Champagne Pop": Even with fall, I still wanted to add a bit of sparkle to the look. I didn't have to think much about reaching for Jaclyn Hill's highlight. I think that the rose gold of the highlight went perfectly on top of my plum-y blush.

M.A.C Lip Pencil in "Vino": This is a dark berry liner that worked really well for this look. I decided to mix some red and berry shades so that my lips could look a little more "vampy" and because I love the mixture of both tones.
Rimmel Lipstick 107: I Went in with my trusty 107 red lipstick that has hints of berry in it. Love this lipstick, no reason to rave about more then I already have.
M.A.C Lipglass "Rebel": Finally I finished off my lips with a the classic Rebel shade. This brought out the berry tones of the lipstick and just created a lot of definition and layers to my lips.

I find this look super easy, you just need to get a hand on using liquid liner. And as any other beauty blogger would say... "It just takes practice". I actually used to do mine with a gel liner and brush but over time I realized that I could get a thinner more defined wing with a liquid one. Maybe a makeup artist will say otherwise but I find using a gel liner made it a lot easier to switch to liquid afterwards. I kept everything else very plain and just filled in my brows with my trusty Anastasia Brow Wiz and then layered on some mascara. I'm not very loyal to mascaras but I have been enjoying this Maybelline Lash Sensational one that I picked up maybe a month and a half ago.


My base is pretty basic. I'm using the L'Oreal Infalliable Pro-Matte and enjoying it so far. I'm still unsure if I would repurchase it, but the coverage is good and it hasn't broken me out. On top of that I'll use the Benefit Erase Paste to get rid of my under-eye dark circles and to cover any blemishes or acne scars I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I picked it up when I was in London (we don't have access to it in Canada) and it has gone to very good use, as you can see, the writing as completely worn off. To brighten up my under-eye area I go for the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I've used this for years and while I've tried other brightening concealers, I always tend to go back to this one. Finally, I'll set my under eye and my T-zone areas with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder.


Like a lot of people this summer, I am loving my highlighter. I've kept with my favourites so far, but there are a few I want to get my hands on (*cough*Charlotte Tilbury*cough* Jaclyn Hill for Becca*). I love my Hourglass one (in the Ambient Lighting palette) and I use the middle shade to get the most luminous look. I find it one goes on perfectly over the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (in Rose). It's a perfect pink that isn't too overpowering but because it has pieces of shimmer already in it, the highlight goes on beautifully on top.


I've also been mixing my bronzers a lot this summer. I've been using the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess just to lightly bronze up my face and then I'll contour (very slightly) with my Lise Watier Rivages Bronzing Powder (this was part of a limited collection but here is a similar one). It has a mixture of gold, pink and bronze and just gives a gorgeous illuminated took. Can you tell I like the "illuminated" look? :)


Finally, the reason for this entire post; the lips. Whenever I want to wear I red lipstick I can put on my lips and then just forget about it and go on with my day, I reach for the Rimmel Lipstick in 107. Its from the Kate Moss collection and I think I've used this one since they launched a few years back. I've actually repurchased this tube a few times and plan on continuing to do so. I usually put a lip moisturizer on before applying a lipstick and today I grabbed my Yves Rocher Shea Butter Nourishing Balm which is the one I tend to reach for the most just because it works really well. I also don't wear a lip liner with this lipstick. I don't find it bleeds and I usually simply don't bother with a liner.
